A note from your coaches.
Hello P.E. Students! As the weeks go by we miss you and think of you every day. Here are this week’s activities chosen so they will be easy to do at home with family members. We hope you enjoy thirty minutes of healthy physical activity two or three times this week. The activities are chosen because they are family fun. Coach Sills and I think of you each day and now that the school year is almost at an end we hope and pray you are happy, safe and physically fit.

  1. Each day this week you can start your warm up by dancing along with the following videos on either You Tube or Go Noodle web sites. Today we will warm up by doing the Pop Se Ko 2.0. Enjoy showing your parents all the moves. Remember to decide which teacher move you want to do before starting the song. You might try marching and shaking your head when they ask for the teacher to Pop Se Ko. See if you can get your family to join in the dance with you.

  1. Take a few seconds to take deep breaths and get a drink. Next march in place for two minutes watching the clock to make sure to finish on time.

  1. Stretching: 5 Minutes:
Now that your muscles are warmed up and your heart rate is racing higher, you can stand with your feet together, reach and touch your toes and hold the stretch for a count of ten. Stand up, feet shoulder width apart, reach down and touch the ground with your fingertips.
2.Now that you are warm try this dance video with super-fast moves. Remember the “Can’t Touch This” dance video? You are definitely going to have to show your family these moves more than once.
3. Now see if you can jump rope like they do in this video. Make sure you try to jump rope for at least 5 minutes without stopping.
4.
  1. Cool Down Walk: Take five minutes to walk around the house or the yard without stopping. Give your body time to relax your muscles as you find a steady pace.
  2. Repeat Stretches: Now repeat your stretches so your muscles don’t get tight.

Cool Down: Be sure to keep taking sips of water while outside in the heat. After each activity, talk with Mom or Dad about whether to do another activity.
